A scientific seminar titled
“Modern geological and geophysical methods for the identification of new sandstone-type uranium deposits in the Republic of Uzbekistan”
was held at the H.M. Abdullayev Institute of Geology and Geophysics. The seminar was led by Professor Gerard Fries, chief advisor to the state enterprise Navoiyuran and a renowned French geologist.
Researchers from the Petrology Laboratory of the H.M. Abdullayev Institute of Geology and Geophysics are conducting geological fieldwork within the framework of the project titled “Fundamental principles for forecasting prospective areas of ore and non-ore mineral deposits.”
An open discussion was organized with students from the University of Geological Sciences. The meeting was attended by the deputy director of the institute, the head of the human resources department, and laboratory heads.
Scientists from the Ore Formation Processes Laboratory at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, affiliated with the University of Geological Sciences, are conducting research on the Kizilmachit, Karasan, and Khodjabarku-Malyangur paleovulcanoes located in southern Uzbekistan.
In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Program for the Implementation of the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy in the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy”, a regular meeting was held.
