A methodological guide on the topic ““Vulkanogen-bo‘lakli jinslarini diagnostika qilish”

A methodological guide titled “Diagnostics of Volcanogenic-Clastic Rocks” has been published by researchers from the Laboratory of Ore Formation Processes at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics named after H.M. Abdullaev.

This manual systematically elucidates the facies structure of volcanogenic-clastic rocks, criteria for their identification and classification, as well as the genetic and structural characteristics of volcanic processes. The guide serves as a practical resource for conducting geological research and represents an important methodological source for specialists, young researchers, and students.

This publication is the latest result of scientific developments aimed at studying volcanic rocks, determining the conditions of their formation, and enhancing the efficiency of geological exploration work.

Activity andSports

In celebration of the upcoming March 8th – International Women’s Day, sports competitions are being organized for women from the subsidiary organizations of the University of Geological Sciences.

The team from the H.M. Abdullayev Institute of Geology and Geophysics is actively and admirably participating in these competitions. The event aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among women, increase physical activity, strengthen team spirit, and further enhance the role and engagement of women in society.

Such initiatives are significant not only for the development of sports but also for supporting women’s active participation in social life and fostering a healthy environment.

🎓 THE GREAT SCHOLAR’S ANNIVERSARY

This year, the geological scientific community of Uzbekistan is widely celebrating the 85th anniversary of Alexander Yevgenievich Antonov, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Professor, and distinguished scientist.

Throughout his scientific and practical career spanning over sixty years, Professor Antonov has made an invaluable contribution to strengthening the country’s mineral resource base, forecasting deposits of gold, non-ferrous and rare metals, and conducting scientific analysis of geological processes. His research in the Chatkal-Kurama zone, Southern Tien Shan, and Kyzylkum regions has laid a solid scientific foundation for the development of geology in our country.

Today, Professor Antonov continues his scientific work, actively participating in the training of young specialists and advancing modern geological research directions.

We congratulate the mentor scientist on his 85th birthday and wish him robust health, long life, scientific blessings, and prosperity!
His scientific legacy and dedication will remain an example for future generations.

Dastur

A seminar was organized with basic doctoral students.

A seminar was organized for researchers admitted to the first stage of the basic doctoral program. During the seminar, discussions focused on the researchers’ dissertation topics, individual work plans, and methodological programs.

Participants received detailed guidance on effective planning of scientific research, step-by-step implementation of dissertation work, and proper selection of methodological approaches. Comprehensive answers were provided to the researchers’ questions. The seminar served to systematically organize the scientific activities of young researchers.
