From March 3 to 7, 2025, representatives of the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) visited Uzbekistan. As part of the visit, they met with the leadership and leading specialists of the H.M. Abdullayev Institute of Geology and Geophysics to discuss prospects for scientific cooperation.

During the discussions, the parties explored ways to expand collaboration in geological research, implement joint projects, and integrate modern technologies into research processes. Presentations were given on the institute’s scientific studies, methods for analyzing mineral resources, and advanced approaches to geological modeling.

The GTK representatives toured the mineralogy, petrography, geochemistry, and geophysics laboratories, where they became familiar with the ongoing research activities. They praised the institute’s modern laboratory equipment, the precision of the research, and its compliance with international standards.

Our institute places great emphasis on expanding international scientific cooperation and advancing geological research through cutting-edge technologies. The partnership with GTK will enhance the study and efficient utilization of mineral resources in Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
