The Center for Glacial Geology of the H.M. Abdullayev Institute of Geology and Geophysics has received a modern SOUTH Galaxy G7 GNSS device as part of the GEF-UNDP-UNESCO project “Strengthening resilience of Central Asian countries through regional cooperation in glacier assessment.”

📡 This high-precision device plays a crucial role in monitoring glaciers and mountain geodynamic processes, as well as in conducting topographical and geophysical measurements.

🔬 By implementing new technologies, the institute’s specialists aim to increase the accuracy and effectiveness of scientific research, as well as achieve results that meet international standards.

🤝 Such initiatives within the framework of cooperation with GEF-UNDP-UNESCO are an important step towards studying climate change and ensuring sustainable development in the Central Asian region.
